Alpha Agent Is Now Open for Invites

After months of building, testing, and hardening — Alpha Agent is ready. We're sending the first batch of invites today.

Bradley Taylor ·

Today, we’re sending the first batch of Alpha Agent invites.

This has been a long time coming. We started building Alpha Agent in February 2026 with a simple thesis: AI assistants are only as useful as the systems they can reach, and only as trustworthy as the infrastructure they run on. Most platforms get one of those right. We set out to get both.

After weeks of building, testing, hardening, and iterating with a small group of early users, we’re confident enough to open the doors wider. If you’re on the waitlist, check your inbox. If you’re not, join now — we’re adding people every day.

What Alpha Agent actually is

Alpha Agent is a managed AI assistant platform. You get your own isolated cloud workspace with a full-featured AI assistant that connects to your tools, lives in your chat channels, and remembers your context across every conversation.

It’s built on OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent platform. Every line of code that handles your data is publicly auditable. No black boxes.

Here’s what that means in practice.

140+ integrations across your entire stack

Your AI assistant is only useful if it can see your work. Alpha Agent connects to 143+ tools across 12 categories — developer tools, productivity apps, CRMs, databases, cloud platforms, and more.

GitHub, Jira, Linear, Notion, Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Stripe, AWS, MongoDB, Google Workspace — if your team uses it, there’s probably an integration for it. And the ecosystem is growing every week thanks to the OpenClaw community.

We wrote the full breakdown in 143 Integrations, One AI Assistant.

19 chat channels — meet your AI where you work

Most AI platforms give you a web chat window. Alpha Agent gives you 19 communication channels:

Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, iMessage, Google Chat, Zoom, Matrix, Mattermost, LINE, Twitch, Twilio, Intercom, Freshdesk, Zendesk, Reddit, and Nostr.

Set it up once in your dashboard. Your assistant responds wherever your team already communicates. No new apps to install, no new habits to build.

Choose your AI provider

Alpha Agent doesn’t lock you into a single model. Bring your own API key for any major provider — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, and 15+ others. Switch providers anytime. Use different models for different tasks. You control the cost and the capability.

Per-task cost tracking with budget caps

Every AI interaction has a cost. Most platforms hide it. Alpha Agent shows you exactly what each task costs, broken down by provider and model.

Set per-user budget caps so no single person blows through your API spend. Set team-wide limits so you never get a surprise bill. Get alerts before you hit thresholds, not after. We built this because we’ve seen what uncontrolled AI spend looks like inside organizations — and wrote about it in detail in our post on AI agent cost management.

Security that doesn’t require trust

This is the part we’re most proud of.

Every Alpha Agent user gets their own isolated Docker container with a read-only filesystem, no-new-privileges enforcement, and strict resource limits. Your workspace, your data, and your secrets live in your container and nowhere else.

Secrets are encrypted with AWS KMS before storage — never plaintext, never in environment variables. The infrastructure runs with zero inbound ports. There is no SSH. Management happens through AWS SSM Session Manager.

For the full picture, visit our Security page. For enterprise requirements — SSO/SAML, RBAC, audit logs, dedicated infrastructure — see our Enterprise page.

The Desktop app is free

Not everyone needs cloud infrastructure. Alpha Agent Desktop is completely free and open source. Download it, enter your API key, and run your AI assistant locally on Mac or Windows. No account required.

When you’re ready for 24/7 uptime, scheduled tasks, team collaboration, and managed backups, upgrade to a cloud plan. Your workspace and configuration carry over.

What’s included in beta

Beta users get full access to the platform:

  • Individual plan at $29/mo — your own cloud-hosted AI workspace with all integrations, all channels, cost tracking, and encrypted backups
  • Team plan at $49/user/mo — shared workspace with centralized integration management, team budget controls, admin approval workflows, and audit logging
  • Enterprise — custom pricing for dedicated infrastructure, SSO/SAML, SLA, and a dedicated customer success manager

Full plan details are on our Pricing page.

Beta users will also have a direct line to the team. We’re building this alongside our earliest users, and your feedback shapes what ships next.

What’s next

We’re just getting started. The roadmap covers what’s coming in detail, but here’s the short version: more integrations, more channels, scheduled task automation, deeper enterprise controls, and a Linux Desktop release.

We’re building Alpha Agent to be the AI assistant platform you actually trust with your real work — not a demo, not a toy, not a chatbot with a nice UI. A real tool that connects to your real stack, runs in a real security model, and gives you real visibility into cost and usage.

The doors are open. Come in.
